On May 24th 2019, One Digital World Designer, Casey Myers, and Marketing Director, Momo Bertrand, were guests on KUSI TV. CEO Myers shared that her inspiration to launch One Digital World came from her mother, "My mum really went through a lot to take care of me and my family, and [when] I left my career to go around the travel world, and she was my number one cheerleader." She went on to explain that after volunteering in a refugee camp for one year, she discovered that refugees women lacked life and technical skills for necessary employment. One Digital World was therefore born to provide opportunities to refugees through digital and English language training.
As public interest in our upcoming international programs is on the rise, our executive team is getting ready to participate in San Diego's most prestigious social innovation competition, the Fowler Global Social Innovation Challenge. This competition will take place from on June 14th and 15th, 2019, at the University of San Diego.
